Spotlight.ai now surfaces deal momentum risk directly in Salesforce, so your reps can spot stalling opportunities before they slip.

Velocity tracks how long an opportunity has been in its current stage and compares it against the expected duration you configure. When a deal runs over, an hourglass icon appears on the opportunity card — no digging required.

• Orange hourglass — Medium Risk: Time in stage has exceeded the expected duration.
• Red hourglass — High Risk: Time in stage has significantly exceeded the expected duration.

Setting it up

Admins configure Velocity in the Spotlight.ai admin tool. Define your sales stages, set expected durations per deal category, and let Spotlight.ai do the rest. Risk thresholds default to 1.5× and 3× the average stage duration and can be adjusted to match your team's expectations.
