Opportunity Contacts Power Map (Beta)

Overview

The Power Map is a strategic visualization tool that helps B2B sales teams assess and track stakeholder positioning within a target account. It displays all opportunity contacts on a 2-dimensional matrix based on their Engagement Level and Influence Level, with sentiment-based color coding to quickly identify supporters, neutrals, and detractors.

Early Access: This feature is in early access. Some details may change as we refine it.

The Matrix View

Each contact appears as a color-coded bubble on the map:

  • X-axis — Engagement Level: How actively the contact engages with the opportunity
  • Y-axis — Influence Level: How much the contact can shape the buying decision
  • Color — Sentiment: 🔴 Red = Detractor, 🟡 Yellow = Neutral, 🟢 Green = Supporter

Quadrant guide:

  • Top-right (High Influence, High Engagement): Your most valuable champions — prioritize these relationships
  • Top-left (High Influence, Low Engagement): High-stakes contacts who need more attention
  • Bottom-right (Low Influence, High Engagement): Engaged but limited decision-making power
  • Bottom-left (Low Influence, Low Engagement): Lower priority stakeholders

How Scores Are Defined

Metrics legend

Engagement Level (0–100)

How actively the contact engages with the sales opportunity — before, during, and after. Signals include responsiveness, ease of scheduling, proactive follow-ups, willingness to share information, looping in others, and owning next steps.

  • 0 = Unresponsive, avoids progress, no actions taken
  • 100 = Highly responsive, mobilizes others, consistently drives next steps

Influence Level (0–100)

How much the contact can shape or determine the buying decision. Based on role, decision authority, budget control, ability to approve or block, and sway over other stakeholders.

  • 0 = No discernible impact on decisions
  • 100 = Primary decision-maker / ultimate approver — can directly decide or veto

Sentiment Level (0–100)

The contact's expressed attitude toward the product and opportunity. Based on positive/negative statements, enthusiasm, objections, risk concerns, and willingness to proceed.

  • 0 = Strongly negative / opposed
  • 50 = Neutral / mixed
  • 100 = Strongly positive / actively advocating to move forward

Working with Detractors

Detractors are stakeholders who may be resistant to or actively opposing your deal. The Power Map surfaces their quotes and concerns directly on their contact card, helping you understand their objections and engage them early to prevent deal blockers.
