How to install the Spotlight.ai Google Calendar Connector

The Spotlight.ai Google Calendar Connector is used to notify Spotlight.ai's agent to join any meeting on user's calendars where there is an online meeting (Google Meet, Zoom, Teams) and at least one invitee is from a different domain. This capability is typically setup for all users; however, there is an option to restrict it to a group. If the latter is preferred, please create a Google Group prior to starting this installation process.

1. Go to the Google Workspace Marketplace.

2. Click INSTALL APP (top middle of page - looks more like a column header). This will redirect you to the Google Workspace Marketplace.

3. In the Search apps field at the top, type Spotlight Calendar Connector then hit return.

4. Click on the Spotlight Calendar Connector in the search results.

5. Click the Admin install button.

6. Click CONTINUE in the modal Admin install dialog.

7. Select whether you want this granted for everyone in your organization or certain groups.
8. Click I agree to the application Terms of Service.
9. Click CONTINUE
10. Click DONE.

At this point, the app is installed but not authorized.

11. Go to https://calendar.google.com/calendar as your administrator user.
12. Click on the Google App icon to get a list of installed apps on your account.

13. Scroll down in the list until you find Spotlight Calendar Connector.

14. Click the Spotlight Calendar Connector icon. You might get optional screen to select a google account, if so select the same account that you used to authorize the app.

15. Click Continue
16. On the next dialog, click Allow.

17. You will be redirected to Spotlight.ai's native web interface. This confirms Spotlight.ai received your credentials.

18. Send an email to support@spotlight.ai to request validation that the configuration is complete.
